Getting started

How do we get started?

Call (480) 582-9898 or start the free care assessment online. Natasha calls you, we visit, listen and build a plan together, then match a caregiver.

Is the care assessment really free?

Yes. The assessment and the first visit are free and come with no obligation. It is a conversation, not a sales call.

Should I call my insurance company first?

Yes, if you plan to use long-term care insurance. Call the insurer before your free assessment and tell them you are starting home care. Starting care first can change how, or whether, the policy pays.

How fast can care start?

Call us and tell us what is happening. We will plan the first visit together as quickly as your situation needs.

Can someone answer the phone at night or on weekends?

Yes. Our phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and you talk to a real person who knows your name, not a call center.

Our care

What services does Aging Well Care offer?

Nine: personal care, hourly and live-in care, companion care, light meal prep, housekeeping and laundry, memory care, respite care, hospital to home care, 1-on-1 care in a facility, and end-of-life care.

Is memory care the same as dementia care?

Yes. Memory care, sometimes called dementia care, is calm, patient support for someone living with Alzheimer's or other memory loss, with routines and supervision built around the person.

Is your care medical?

Our caregivers provide non-medical care: help with daily living, companionship and supervision. Care plans are guided by a Registered Nurse, and we work alongside doctors, home health and hospice teams.

Do you work with hospice?

Yes. We work alongside hospice teams, adding hands-on care and company in the hours hospice is not there.

What is the difference between personal care and companion care?

Personal care includes hands-on help with bathing, dressing and mobility. Companion care focuses on friendship, conversation and help around the home for someone who is safe alone but should not be alone all day.

Do you offer overnight, live-in or 24/7 care?

Yes. Hourly, overnight, 24/7 and live-in care are all available, and you can move between them as needs change.

Is there an hourly minimum?

No. There is no hourly minimum. Book the hours you need, even a short visit.

How are caregivers chosen?

Every caregiver passes a background check and a drug test before they step into your home. We match each family with a caregiver and keep the same faces showing up whenever possible.

What does it mean to graduate from care?

Our goal is to help your loved one get stronger. When they can step down to fewer hours or no care at all, we celebrate with you. Many companies do not. You can call us again any time you need us.

Cost and payment

How do families pay for care?

Private pay by ACH, credit card or check, long-term care insurance, or both.

Is there a contract?

No contract required. You sign a simple service agreement, and you can cancel any time.

Do you help with the billing?

Yes. You get invoices by email and a care log that shows the status of each visit, and we keep thorough records. With most policies you pay for care and your insurer reimburses you.

Do you take long-term care insurance?

Yes. We work with many long-term care insurers, including John Hancock, Genworth, Mutual of Omaha and others, and we help you check what your policy covers.

Does Medicare pay for this kind of care?

Medicare generally does not pay for ongoing non-medical care at home. Call us and we will talk through your options honestly.
